So you’ve just touched down in Vegas, ready for three days of insuretech industry action. With lanyard and schedule in hand you’re primed to hit the expo hall and soak in that insuretech insight.

But what have you got planned between all those meetings and presentations you’re attending?  After all Vegas is a city like no other, so you better make the most of it while you’re here.

Don’t know where to start? Well fear not.

We’ve scoured every inch of this shining desert oasis to bring you our Top 5 list of things to check out, including everything from historic signage to mouth watering buffets.

1. Neon Boneyard at the Neon Museum of Las Vegas

Have you ever wondered where neon signs end up once the lights go out? Well look no further than the Neon Boneyard at the Neon Museum of Las Vegas, who’s collection of old casino and hotel signage fills over 2.62 acres of dusty Nevada Desert.

Founded in 1996, the museum has been dedicated to the preservation, study and exhibition of Las Vegas’ historic neons.  It now contains over 200 signs, showcasing their impact on the cities history, as well as how technology and design has evolved over the last 90 years.

Visit at sunset for a breathtaking walk through the display, where dramatic ground lighting and numerous restored signs illuminate the winding labyrinth transform this sun soaked exhibition into something truly unforgettable.

2. Wicked Spoon Buffet at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Vegas isn’t messing around when it comes to buffets.  From endless seafood at the Sterling Brunch to made-to-order souffles at Bacchanal, this is a town that believes in extravengence in all areas.

Whilst fresh crab claws and omelette bars are nothing to scoff at, if you’re after a truly revolutionary buffet experience there is only one place to head: Wicked Spoon Buffet.

Located in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, at the Chelsea Tower, Wicked Spoons tagline ‘Be strange but not a stranger’ gives you a peak on the out of the box buffet experience on offer here.  Forget mountains of food or run of the mill flavours, WS artisan produce and unique combinations are transformed into perfectly sized individual portions ready for you to enjoy. Previous offerings have included buffalo frogs legs, bone marrow, whole crawfish and bourbon glazed baby carrots, as well as classic cosmopolitans and wicked margaritas to wash it all down with.

3. SlotZilla Zip Line at Fremont Street Experience

If all those important meetings and critical presentations haven’t given the adrenaline rush you’re after, why not head to the SlotZilla Zip Line experience at Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas.

Fly through the air with the Zoomline, located over 114 feet above the crowded promenade below. Experience one of a kind views of this bustling party hotspot, as you travel ‘superman style’ as you fly across 1,750 feet of metal cabling, reaching potential speeds of up to 40 miles an hour.  Your journey will conclude at the historic Golden Gate Casino landing platform, where you can return to earth and catch your breath after your thrilling ride.
