With the bright lights of Vegas calling our name, buzzvault is heading across the Atlantic to attend this years InsureTech Connect at the dazzling MGM Grand (23rd – 25th September). 

Following on from the launch of our hyper-personalised, intelligent home insurance at last year’s conference, we are returning to ITC to showcase how far we’ve come and why buzzvault is still the future of the home insurance industry. 

This year’s attendants include buzzvault CEO and founder, Becky Downing, and Chief Financial Officer, Darius Medora, who are gearing up for three days of InsureTech debates, networking and industry insight. 

So, as we dust off our lanyards and dig out our passports, we’re reflecting on what made last years conference so special, as well as a few surprises we have in store for this year.  Read on to find out more. 

 

Looking back at last years conference

ITC 2018 marked a key moment in buzzvault’s journey to industry disruption, as we unveiled our hyper-personalised, intelligent home insurance to the world.  Since then we’ve launched our app, raised awareness and protected homes throughout the UK. All in all, it’s been an eventful year, but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down.

Takeaways from last year

With this year’s conference fast approaching, we think it’s time to reflect on last year’s event, from our initial aims to industry takeaways.

Below are the three reasons we were excited to attend last year, and what we’ve learnt over the last 12 months:

1. Giving insurance a customer makeover 

During ITC 2018, we unveiled buzzvault for the first time, to show the world what we think the #futureofinsurance looks like.  At the heart of this vision, is giving insurance the customer makeover it deserves, with services that solve real world customer problems through revolutionary solutions.  Forget blanket cover and one size fits all policies, buzzvault is home insurance built around individuals with cover based on what people actually own. 

This year’s announcements are no different, introducing new ways we are serving our customers and providing them with the coverage they deserve.  All will be revealed soon, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.

 

2. Enabling and empowering customers 

From the start, buzzvault has understood that the future of insurance is placing customers at the centre of everything we do.  Not only does this mean providing them with a great product, but a service that places them in the driving seat and the control in their hands.  This is why we created the buzzvault app, where a customer can access and review their policy at any time, adding or removing items at the touch of a button.

Customer empowerment was a topic we were eager to discuss on last year’s “Moving from Selling Products to Services: From Protection to Enablement” Panel, which focused on how the industry is evolving and how we all can be a part of this trend. 

We’ve been putting this panel’s learnings into practice over the last 12 months and are excited to unveil these strides in our Innovation Alley Stage presentation, taking place at 2:45pm on 24th September.  Come prepared for talk of new customer journeys, marketing channels and more. 

 

3. Strengthening partnerships and listening to different perspectives within the industry

Conferences are a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces and meet new people, none more so than InsureTech Connect.  Last year we spoke to incumbents, solution providers and MGAs from across the industry, as well as catching up with our partners at Startupbootcamp and Munich Re Digital Partners (MRDP).

Our plans for this year are no different.  We’re ready to soak in new perspectives and discuss how the insurance industry is changing, so why not come find us at Booth #K61 to chat about all things innovative.
